To pass on the knowledge of the memories, the Fondation pour la Mémoire de la Déportation acts as publisher of different media and as organizer of several events:

• En Jeu. Histoire et mémoires vivantes (“In action. History and living memories”), semi-annual revue about a theme concerning the deportation and the resistance with French texts of visiting writers
• “subject-related workshop” concerning National Socialism
• Exhibition: “Liberation of the concentration camps” and “Deportation to the concentration camps” (both in French)
• Provision of information for the “National Competition of Resistance and Deportation”
• Magazine Mémoire vivante in French(download here)
• Panel discussion « Témoins et Témoignages – Figures et objets du XXe siècle » (“contemporary witness and evidence”, in the Hotel des Invalides, December 2012)
• Relevant photo competition concerning places of memory of the persecution by the National Socialists

To keep the memories alive, the Foundation supports archives and funds:

• Livre Memorial, list classified by names and transports, regularly updated by the research team in Caen
• Studies to the penal and detention camps between 1939 and 1945 (start search)
• More than 2.000 works in the library of the centre of documentation (30 Boulevard des Invalides, 75007 Paris, open from monday to friday between 9.30 am and 5 pm)
• Media center: audio and video files of circa 500 contemporary witnesses
• Studies to medical consequences of deportation (corpus)
• Protection of private archives

The Foundation supports projects dealing with the subject of deportation and persecution:

• Help for non-profit projects concerning “70 years after the liberation of the concentration camps 2015”
• Cooperation with the AFMD
• Fight against holocaust deniers
